Ginger Roasted Carrot Fries - Air Fryer Recipe

This was such a hit at my school cooking class a couple of weeks ago that it had to be shared on the blog!

You can’t get much easier and it’s a great way to get familiar with your air-fryer.

Ginger Roasted Carrot Fries

For 4 servings:

  • 4-5 large carrots, peeled

  • 1 tbsp oil (olive, canola, avocado)

  • 1-2 tsp honey

  • 1-2 tsp ginger powder (fresh grated or jarred paste also works)

  • salt, pepper (to taste, optional)

Directions:

  • Cut your carrots in approximately 4-5” long fry-shape pieces. Aim for all pieces to be approximately the same thickness for even cooking.

  • Mix oil, honey, ginger, salt and pepper in bowl.

  • Add carrots to bowl and stir to coat evenly.

  • Spread evenly in air fryer basket.

  • Bake at 350-390F for 5-15 minutes, tossing partway through time.

  • When carrots are cooked through and have edges that are beginning to crisp and brown (or are desired texture).

  • Serve immediately, garlic aioli is a great dip!

Notes

  • Cooking time and temp will vary based on your model. Your air fryer manual may have suggestions to follow.

  • If unsure, check 1-2x during cooking - lower and slower will give you time to adjust for your desired texture but may not give you the crisp edges of a higher heat.

  • Reheat in air fryer for best texture.
